Spring Time, Fun Time!

I am writing on my blog today out of gratitude. My heart is full for all that the Lord has given me and I have to share that goodness. Life is good. Yes there are hard times. Yes being out here has a whole new world of adventure. But life is still good. Even through it all.

I asked the kids what I should say on here… this is what they dictated to me:

Hannah says: We love Grandma, and we miss her. <3 Learning activities have been so fun. I can count so high.
Lets tell them about my Kitty kitty kitty! I have a kitty that is gray. G-g-Gray…. Mom what letter starts with g-g-gray…. I know! G!

My favorite letter to write is the ABC’s [all of them, on her own, on anything she can find], and to sing them.

The Easter Egg hunt was fun. My friends are Liv and ‘Kira and Aja. They play with me. They were at the park (Easter Hunt). We found candy. We had lunch too and Thomas puked.

Thomas: Tell Grandma about our Easter Egg hunt. Tell Aunt Michelle about our Learning activities. At the park (Egg Hunt) I tripped and fell. We found eggs. Just some. The other kids found all of the eggs [he found plenty too!]. My favorite part was finding the Easter Eggs.

My favorite part of the learning activities was the bad guys getting eaten by the lions [For opening Devotional they learned about Daniel and the Lion’s Den from the Bible]. Yesterday I learned about practicing my numbers. My favorite letter to write is a T.

Sadie: Wow!, Cake, bewbow (elbow), Hannah, Mama, Papa, uh-o, out, up, bewp! (help), eye, dry, ow!, Waa (what), yay!, shooz (shoes), hanz (hands), wower (flower), roll-roll-roll, hat, ball.

I have felt really buoyed up since Conference weekend. The Words of the Prophets and Apostles really encouraged me, and prompted me in area’s I can improve. I was also able to receive a priesthood blessing which helped to bring me peace, direction, confidence, and a renewed hope in my “momming abilities”.
Recent craft I have done is paint by number! Sounds so juvenile, but it very relaxing and enjoyable! here is just one of the ones I have done. Felt fitting as He IS my light. He IS how I get through each day. He lived a perfect life, suffered and died for us and rose again the 3rd day! Happy Easter!

Here is the Easter Fun the kids talked about above:

Recent Activities:

Hannah was able to perform a short school song/dance at a small festival they had. Here is her face paint from the night. :)

They only had a few days to practice this song

Daddy took the kids outside to sleep under the stars! They loved it! Part of our learning activities that day was learning about what makes stars and the different kinds of stars.

Hannah is excelling in her learning activities tremendously! At home she sounded out these words all by herself!
Okay okay, we helped her on snake because of the silent e. She is getting more and more confident in her learning every day, and enjoys it. Often I find sticky notes in which she was written the entire alphabet on it.

Thomas also loves learning activities and asks to do them daily! I feel bad because out time is so limited if Sadie doesn’t nap long, or if other tasks have to get done. It’s been a balancing act between housework, nap schedules, learning activities for both older kids, and my own showers . Hahaha

A glimpse of the gears turning ;) [Don't mind Sadie, she was supposed to be down for a nap, but knew we were "having fun" and was very vocal in her disagreement with the arrangement].

Out on a Sunday walk... couldn't resist a picture of those dark eyes, and blonde curls.
Later on Hannah soaked up some time in the hammock...can you see her?

The kids love and adore their kitties so much. They play with them every day, all day long. Hannah even dressed her baby and wrapped it in a blanket, carrying it around in baby hold.

Below Hannah is being the "vet" she is weighing each one, after which she pretended to check their eyes, nose, mouth and ears.

We have enjoyed the new friendships we have made here and I wish I remember to take better pictures of the times we have got together with them. I have tried hard to be present and focused and not on my phone especially when with people. But now I don’t have many pictures at all. Haha, all I have are some awesome pancakes on of our friends made for the kids! 😊 Maybe next time I'll get some photos.

One day while I was outside exercising, it started to sprinkle a little, and since we already had bedding on the lines…. The kids had a nice fort while I finished up!

I finally took the kids out for lunch! They loved it! More like they loved those French fries!

Sadie tries hard to keep up with her siblings. They have fun chasing each other, and playing together….

Yet her age always shines through at any moment of downtime…

Summer Break in the Caribbean

This is the little village we live in.  [This picture is not mine. I honestly don't know how it came into my possession. Or who...
