Fall in the Caribbean

During the 4 months I was working, the island got some playgrounds built, and they turned out very nice. The children and I loved making outings on the weekends to have picnics, and spend some time together.

October rolled around, and there was a very small gathering that trick-or-treated to the shops and one business had a small carnival type party. We enjoyed a much needed visit from family and saw Sara & Mark. While the Aunty and Uncle were here we also took the kids swimming!

(It got stormy and rained us out)

During this semester Hannah’s school had a very fun field day we were able to watch Hannah participate in.

Thomas got glasses… but hates wearing them because they are too big…

Sadie learned how to walk

Mommy is exhausted

And Matthew... is going banana's! Haha

We had a small Thanksgiving on Sunday as no one was out of school on Thanksgiving Day

And end of school Christmas party for Hannah included Santa, getting a new book, and singing Christmas songs! This was probably our most Christmasy season day so far.

Going and Growing!

Oct-Dec Update #1

Wow! So much has happened since October when I last posted about us.

We enjoyed working at the afterschool care for a time, and then it came to move on. While we were there (I say we, because my kids were able to come with me), I would plan activities and do them with the children. It was very much what we needed at the time, and was a nice reprieve from being home all day every day with the kids and no yard. Over the 4 months I was there we did many activities, and even took them swimming!

Walking to the park. They did great staying in line, listening, and holding the rope.

Matthew even got the courage to butcher a chicken last semester…thinking it would save money, and there are a bazillion running around the island.  But found it was way to time consuming and yielded very little meat. It took far to much studying time.

Now just a flash back!

Can you believe how much they have grown since we first came out here?!
Then:

 Now:

End of 1st semester, beginning of Second semester (August)

 Now:

They are growing too too fast! We haven't even been here a year!

Stay tuned! I have a handful of other posts all written up  and just waiting to be posted! I'll get you caught up in no time! You can ride through our adventures of snorkeling, hiking, feeding monkey's, going to the temple, Christmas and more! There was good reason I haven't posted for so long! We have been quite busy! :)

Summer Break in the Caribbean

This is the little village we live in.  [This picture is not mine. I honestly don't know how it came into my possession. Or who...
